This two storey wrap around extension was designed and engineered to meet the client’s exact requirements.
The components used to construct this timber frame extension are as follows:
- External walls: 140mm treated studwork, 9mm OSB3 sheathing, TF200 breather membrane, factory fitted 120mm PIR insulation.
- Internal walls: 89mm treated studwork with 9mm OSB3 sheathing where structurally required.
- Intermediate floors: metal press web joists with 22mm chipboard flooring.
- Roof: prefabricated roof trusses.
Our project manager attended the site on several occasions to ensure that the ground works were correct/level and ready for the timber frame panels to be fitted on top.
Our installation contractors arrived on site the day before the timber frame components to fit the sole plates to the already laid foundations. The timber frame components were delivered all in one lorry load, making use of the HIAB.
The installation went without a hitch therefore ensuring the timber frame structure was completed and handed over to the client within approx. one week.
