This two storey rear extension in Colchester was completed during the summer of 2018.
There were several obstacles with this project with the lack of access being the main issue. We had to ensure that the timber frame components were lifted over the existing building to the rear of the house, by using cranes and large HIAB vehicles.
The client designed this extension, therefore we had to make sure that our timber frame designers and engineers were able to make the client’s ideas a reality.
Due to the intricate detail, this extension was completed by our site installation team within three weeks. The project was checked and signed off by our project manager, who made sure the client was happy with the new timber frame extension.
