Environmental

Timber frame construction is one of the most environmentally friendly construction methods, with the lowest CO2 cost of any commercial building process.

Sustainable timber describes wood from trees which have been harvested responsibly. This requires a tree to be planted for every tree which is cut down.

All of our timber is sourced from sustainable forests and is certified by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

Timber Frame Technology UK Ltd is currently going through the audit process to obtain the PEFC Chain of Custody certification. You can read more about the PEFC Chain of Custody here:

https://www.pefc.org/standards/chain-of-custody

We are also currently members of the Structural Timber Association (STA). The STA is the main governing body of the timber frame industry, setting high standards to which all members must adhere. To find out more, visit;

https://www.structuraltimber.co.uk

We set a high quality threshold for the wood we use in our engineered roof trusses, wall panels and structural frames. All timber deliveries are closely inspected to ensure they are clean and bright and ready to be used.

Any timbers which don’t meet our high standards are returned to the supplier.

What our customers say

Timber Frame Technology built a single storey extension for us in 2017. The team were very considerate in the way they did every aspect of the job. Keeping us up to date with everything they did. They kept a very clean and tidy work area and I would highly recommend them.
