Sustainable timber describes wood from trees which have been harvested responsibly. This requires a tree to be planted for every tree which is cut down.
All of our timber is sourced from sustainable forests and is certified by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).
Timber Frame Technology UK Ltd are also PEFC Chain of Custody certified, which means we’ve passed an independent audit process to prove that all of our timber comes from sustainably managed forests.
You can read more about the PEFC Chain of Custody here:

We are also currently members of the Structural Timber Association (STA). The STA is the main governing body of the timber frame industry, setting high standards to which all members must adhere. To find out more, visit;

We set a high quality threshold for the wood we use in our engineered roof trusses, wall panels and structural frames. All timber deliveries are closely inspected to ensure they are clean and bright and ready to be used.
Any timbers which don’t meet our high standards are returned to the supplier.
